2015 World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD)

Since 2006 WEAAD has been recognized internationally on June 15. Adult protective services units around Wisconsin worked diligently the past several months organizing events and displays to bring awareness locally to elder abuse in their communities.

The following link includes photos from a number of events around Wisconsin recognizing WEAAD June 15 this year. The color for the day was purple which is highlighted by the many banners, pinwheel displays, and attire worn by staff and area officials who attended local events.
